In 2016, China's total import and export volume reached US$3.68493 trillion, down 6.8% year on year (the same as below) among which, the export was US$2.09744 trillion, down 7.7% and the import was US$1.58748 trillion, down 5.5%. The trade surplus was US$509.96 billion, down 14.1%.
In December, China's total import and export volume reached US$378.02 billion, down 2.2%, among which, the export was US$209.42 billion, down 6.1% and the import was US$168.6 billion, up 3.1%. The trade surplus was US$40.82 billion down 31.5%.
