MOFCOM BJT
Q: On December 16, MOFCOM announced the final ruling on the anti-dumping investigation into pork and pig by-products import from the EU. Could you provide more details about this case?
A: Upon application of the China Animal Agriculture Association, MOFCOM launched an anti-dumping investigation into imports of pork and pig by-products originating from the EU on June 17, 2024. Currently, the domestic industry is facing operational difficulties and has voiced strong calls for protection. Against this backdrop, MOFCOM conducted the investigation in strict accordance with laws and regulations, extensively solicited views from all interested parties, fully safeguarded their legitimate rights, and reached its conclusions in an objective, fair, and impartial manner. According to the investigation findings, imports of the products concerned from the EU were dumped and caused material injury to China’s domestic industry. MOFCOM issued the final determination on December 16, 2025, setting anti-dumping duty rates for EU companies at between 4.9% and 19.8%, and decided to implement the final anti-dumping measures from December 17 for a period of five years.
