MOFCOM BJT
Q: Recently, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng held a video call with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. The two sides agreed to hold a new round of China-U.S. economic and trade consultations soon. Does MOFCOM have any further updates?
A: As agreed by the two sides, He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, will lead a delegation to Malaysia from October 24 to 27 to hold economic and trade consultations with the U.S. side. Following the important consensuses reached by the two heads of state in their phone calls earlier this year, the two sides will engage in consultations on key issues in China-U.S. economic and trade relations.
