Q: On October 8 EST, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the addition of multiple Chinese entities to its export control “Entity List.” What is China’s comment on this?
A: China has taken note of the relevant developments. The United States continues to overstretch the concept of national security, abuse export control measures, and impose long-arm jurisdiction, subjecting multiple entities—including Chinese enterprises—to expanded export sanctions. Such actions by the U.S. side seriously infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and undermine the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains. China firmly opposes these actions and urges the U.S. side to promptly rectify its wrongful practices. China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese entities.
