MOFCOM Spokesperson on US Department of Commerce’s Adding Two Chinese Companies to Export Control “Entity List” and “Military End-User List”

Question: On January 14, the US Department of Commerce added China National Offshore Oil Corporation to the “entity list” and Beijing Skyrizon Aviation Industry Investment Co., Ltd. to the “military end-user list”. What's your comment?

Answer: China has made clear its stern position many times on the Trump Administration's baseless suppression of Chinese enterprises. By overstretching the notion of national security and cooking up charges, the US has abused export control and other measures to continuously suppress Chinese businesses. Consequently, the principle of fair competition and international economic and trade rules have been violated, normal international economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and US enterprises, and even between them and third-country businesses has been disturbed, and the stability and security of global industrial and supply chains have been disrupted. We urge the US to correct its mistakes, and do more to benefit China-US economic and trade cooperation and promote global economic recovery and development.
