China and Thailand Sign MOU on Strengthening Economic Cooperation in Industrial and Supply Chains

On July 20, witnessed by Premier Li Qiang of the State Council and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Economic Cooperation in Industrial and Supply Chains between the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Thailand (hereinafter referred to as the MOU) in Beijing.

Under the MOU, the two sides agreed to advance economic cooperation in industrial and supply chains, hold regular meetings, enhance exchanges, and support relevant government branches, local authorities, and enterprises in continuously deepening and promoting practical cooperation, to foster a better business environment for enterprises from the two countries and jointly address challenges. In recent years, the potential of China-Thailand industrial and supply chain cooperation has continued to be unleashed. The signing of the MOU will help establish a pragmatic and efficient platform for such cooperation, safeguard the security, resilience, and smooth operation of the two countries’ industrial and supply chains, and forge a closer China-Thailand economic partnership in this area.
