MOFCOM monitoring shows that the market price of edible agricultural products edged up by 0.6% last week (July 19 to 25) from the week before, and the market price of means of production rose by 0.4% from the week before.

Edible agricultural products market: the average wholesale price of 30 types of vegetables stood at 4.16 yuan per kilogram, up 2.7% over the previous week. In breakdown, lettuce, spinach, rapeseed wholesale prices rose 13.6%, 10.8% and 9.7% respectively. The average wholesale price of six types of fruits fell slightly. Specifically, the wholesale price of grapes fell 3.2%. Meat prices fell on the whole, with wholesale prices of pork standing at 20.77 yuan per kilogram, down 0.6%, the wholesale prices of lamb down 0.3%, and wholesale prices of beef remained the same. The price of poultry products rose slightly: the wholesale prices of egg and chicken rose 1.9% and 1.6%. Prices of aquatic products rose: the prices of crucian, carp, and silver carp rose by 1.5%, 1% and 0.8%. Grain and oil prices edged up slightly: the wholesale price of flour and soybean oil rose 0.2%, the wholesale price of rice, peanut oil, canola oil were flat.

Means of production market: steel prices rose slightly, with rebar, high-speed wire rod, ordinary plate prices at 5,143 yuan, 5,403 yuan and 5,527 yuan per ton, up 1.2%, 1.2% and 0.8%. Coal prices rose steadily. Power coal and coking coal were 712 yuan and 829 yuan per ton, up 0.6% and 0.4%. No. 2 anthracite lump coal was 996 yuan per ton, same as the previous week. Prices of basic chemical raw materials rose: soda ash, methanol, sulfuric acid, polypropylene rose 1.5%, 1.3%, 0.8% and 0.3%. Fertilizer prices rose slightly: NPK compound fertilizer and urea rose 1.3% and 0.5% respectively. Non-ferrous metal prices fluctuated slightly: zinc and copper prices rose 0.9% and 0.4%, aluminum prices fell 0.5%. Rubber prices fluctuated slightly: natural rubber fell 0.9%, synthetic rubber rose 0.1%. The wholesale prices of refined oil fell slightly: No. 0 diesel fuel, No. 92 gasoline, 95 gasoline prices fell 0.4%, 0.3% and 0.2%, respectively.
