A: China has stated on multiple occasions that it firmly opposes unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law or authorization of the UN Security Council. Despite China’s repeated representations, the U.S. side has imposed multiple sanctions on Chinese companies and citizens on the grounds of Iran-related issues. China expresses strong dissatisfaction with and firm opposition to this.
U.S. unilateral sanctions improperly interfere with normal economic and trade exchanges between relevant countries and seriously undermine global energy security and stable energy supply. China urges the U.S. to immediately correct its wrongful practices and revoke the sanctions imposed on relevant Chinese companies and citizens. China will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its companies and citizens.
