A: China attaches great importance to economic and trade cooperation with other BRICS countries. The Meeting of the BRICS Trade Ministers has been held 16 times to date, and has produced over 60 outcome documents on trade and investment facilitation, support for the multilateral trading system, standards cooperation, supply chains, the digital economy, and green development.

At the just-concluded 18th BRICS Summit, President Xi Jinping put forward the trade and investment facilitation initiative, proposed establishing the BRICS special economic zone partnership, and announced that China will hold the BRICS Forum on Trade in Services next year. MOFCOM will actively prepare for the economic and trade events hosted by China next year, make good arrangements for the BRICS Forum on Trade in Services, and cultivate new growth drivers for economic and trade cooperation. We will empower the China Center for Cooperation on Special Economic Zones in BRICS Countries, and strive to achieve more practical outcomes in areas such as the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green development, so as to advance greater BRICS cooperation.
