A: As the summer vacation begins, domestic travel is increasing, and inbound tourism is entering its peak season. MOFCOM, together with relevant authorities, is continuing with the “Shopping in China” campaign, and supports localities in expanding the supply of high-quality goods and services that suit summer consumption and reflect local features, and seeks innovation in deepening the integration of commerce, tourism, culture, and sports to further propel the momentum of summer consumption.
For example, the “Shanghai Summer” International Consumption Season, which started last Friday, will organize over 300 Sightseeing, Entertainment, and Shopping activities. Guangxi will launch more than 2,000 cultural, tourism, catering, and sports consumption activities during summer. Fujian will launch a province-wide summer consumption season to showcase the rich Southern Fujian culture and attract global tourists... The list goes on. We believe that with the unfolding of consumption promotion activities in various places and the implementation of consumption boosting policies, the potential of summer consumption will be further unleashed. We sincerely hope tourists from abroad and domestic residents enjoy the summertime market in China.
