Brief Statistics of China’s Contractual Projects, Labor Service and Design and Consultation Service Overseas (2006/1-4) Sunday,July 23,2006 Posted: 15:47 BJT(0747 GMT)  MOFCOM 1, Contractual projects From Jan to Apr, 2006, turnover of China's contractual projects overseas amounted to US$7.74bln, up by 62% on a year-on-year basis. And value of newly signed contracts reached US$12.94bln, up by 109.7%. By the end of Apr, 2006, accumulated turnover of China's contractual projects overseas amounted to US$143.53bln, with contract value of US$198.85bln. 2, Labor service From Jan to Apr, 2006, turnover of China's labor service overseas amounted to US$1.37bln, up by 3% on a year-on-year basis. And value of newly signed contracts reached US$1.77bln with a year-on-year increase of 41.6%. Overseas labor amounted to 108 thousand, 41 thousand more than that in the same period of the previous year and 600 thousand in total by the end of Apr, 86 thousand more than that in the same period of the previous year. By the end of Apr, 2006, turnover of China's labor service overseas was US$36.981bln, with contractual value of US$42.13bln, overseas labor amounted to 3.574mln. 3, Design and consultation service From Jan to Apr, 2006, turnover of China's design and consultation service overseas amounted to US$60mln, decreased by 6.2% and value of newly signed contracts reached US$90mln, decreased by 49%.
