Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement on October 14, 2005 to start an anti-dumping investigation on the imported Butanols originating from Russia, the USA, South Africa, Malaysia, the EU and Japan (hereinafter referred to as the investigated products).

The Butanolsis listed under Tariff No. 29051300,29051410, 29051420 and 29051430 in Customs Tariff of Import and Export of the People's Republic of China.

In accordance with Article 24 of Anti-dumping Regulations of People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce made the preliminary arbitration that dumping of the investigated products had taken place; however, that had not caused material injury to China’s industry.

In accordance with Article 27 of Anti-dumping Regulations of People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce decided to terminate the anti-dumping investigation on imported Butanols originated from Russia, the USA, South Africa, Malaysia, the EU and Japan as from March 2, 2007.
