China-Russia Held a Meeting to Standardize Trade Order

The 2nd session of China-Russia Trade Order Standardization Joint Group was held in Beijing on August 10, to make preparations for the 8th session of China-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Sub-Committee on August 12. Sun Yongfu, Director General of Department of European Affairs of MOFCOM would head a Chinese delegation, which are composed of representatives of relevant departments and business had talk with Russian delegation.

The two sides pointed out that China and Russian leaders thought highly of work on standardizing bilateral trade, which was an important guarantee to achieve the goal, China-Russian trade reaching US$60 billion to US$80 billion in 2010 and China investing in Russia US$12 billion in 2020. The two sides appraised progress of the working group over a year, emphasized to enhance coordination and cooperation, took action and strengthen management to create good condition for sound development of bilateral trade. The two sides exchanged views and reached consensus on some major problems, such as solving properly that shoe-making factories of Wenzhou in Russia was closed up with shoes taken away by Russian tax-police, further strengthening mechanism and function of working group, expanding exchange and cooperation of Customs statistics, helping Chinese funded enterprises set up official Customs declaration.
