Gansu Delegation Was Successful in Attracting Foreign Investment on the 8th High-tech Expo Wednesday,June 01,2005 Posted: 08:20 BJT(0020 GMT) On May 27, the 8th China Beijing International High-tech Expo, which lasted 5 days, dropped successfully curtain at Beijing International Hotel. The Gansu delegation was successful in attracting foreign investment. 28 contracts, which attracted foreign capital of 3.01 billion US dollars, were signed. During this Expo, the active and well organized Gansu delegation achieved greatly by showing new image and recommending projects with predominance through press conference, projects introduction and match making. Jiuquan and Longnan attracted foreign capital of 1.73 billion US dollars and 1.08 billion US dollars respectively. Total value of contracted projects of Gansu province related to process of primary products and byproducts, agricultural industrialization, tourism exploitation and infrastructure construction etc. reached 3.3 billion US dollars.
