China and South Korea IT Enterprises Symposium was held in Nanjing on May 13. Since 1/3 investment from South Korea in China was in Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu became the gathering place of South Korean IT enterprises. Many leading figures of South Korean IT favored the development prospect of Jiangsu and decided at the symposium to invest in Jiangsu.
The South Korean IT Enterprise Delegation was led by the Officer of South Korea Department of Information Industry with members from IITA, Lindemann Asian Pacific Investment Company, KOSDAQ and several well-known IT enterprises. As introduced by Xie Zhengyi, director of Provincial Department of Information Industry, currently there were over 3000 enterprises set up by South Korea in Jiangsu Province with actual investment over USD4.6b, accounting for 34% of the total South Korean investment in China. Most investment is in IT field and almost all the notable South Korean IT enterprises have invested in Jiangsu, which absorbed the most of South Korean investment in China. |
