Briefing on trade of Chile in December of 2010
According to statistics by Chile Customs, the total import and export value of Chile in 2010 was US$119.98 billion, up by 35.8% compared with that of last year (same as bellow). Among that, export was US$67.43 billion, up by 34.9%; and import was US$52.56 billion, up by 36.9%. Trade surplus was US$14.87 billion, up by 28.5%.

In December, import and export of goods of Chile was US$11.98 billion, up by 32.7%. Among that, export was US$7.08 billion, up by 33.5%; and import was US$4.89 billion, up by 31.5% year on year. Trade surplus was US$2.19 billion, up by 38.3%.

In 2010, Chile-China bilateral trade in goods was US$24.73 billion, up by 48.7%. Among that, Chile’s export to China was US$16.46 billion, up by 42.6%, accounting for 24.4% of Chile’s total export, 1.3 percentage points higher than that of last year; Chile’s import from China was US$8.27 billion, up by 62.3%, accounting for 15.7% of Chile’s total imports, 2.4 percentage points higher than that of last year. Trade surplus of Chile with China was US$8.18 billion, up by 27% compared with that of last year.

By December, China is Chile’s largest export destination and second largest import source.
