China Continues to Be Jordan's Largest Source of Imports in 2017

According to the Jordanian Bureau of Statistics, in 2017, Jordan’s imports from China reached US$2.772 billion, and exports to China reached US$164 million. China continues to be Jordan's largest source of imports and is Jordan's third largest trade partner.

In terms of trade partnerships, Jordan’s top three import sources are China (US$2.772 billion), Saudi Arabia (US$2.76 billion), and the United States (US$2.006 billion). The top three trade partners are the United States (US$3.613 billion), Saudi Arabia (US$3.608 billion) and China (US$2.937 billion).

In terms of commodity structure, Jordan’s imports from China are mainly mechanical and electrical products (taking up 41.42% of total trade, the same below), textiles (21.01%) and base metal products (8.19%) and the exports to China are mainly chemical products (86.36). %), textiles (6.93%) and base metal products (4.44%).
