Statistics on China-Thailand Trade in January-December 2018

In December 2018, the bilateral trade volume between China and Thailand was US$6.26 billion, down 2.9% year on year. Among these, Thailand’s exports to China were US$2.45 billion, down 7.3%; its imports from China were US$3.82 billion, up 0.2%.

In January-December 2018, the bilateral trade volume between China and Thailand was US$80.14 billion, up 8.7%. Among these, Thailand’s exports to China were US$30.18 billion, up 2.3%; its imports from China were US$49.96 billion, up 12.9%.

In 2018, China applied for 131 (accounting for 13%) preferential investment projects in Thailand, involving an investment of 55.48 billion baht (accounting for 9.5%), and ranked as Thailand’s second largest source of investment, following the US and Japan.
