Among these, Japan’s exports to China were US$57.88 billion, up 14.5%, accounting for 19.0% of Japan’s total exports, up 0.7 percentage points; Japan’s imports from China were US$70.12 billion, up 7.3%, accounting for 22.9% of Japan’s total imports, down 1.2 percentage points. The trade deficit between Japan and China was US$12.24 billion, down 17.1%.

By May, China is Japan's largest export trade partner and the largest import trade partner.
