Briefings on China-Indonesia Trade in January-October, 2018

Indonesia’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the trade report on November 15. In January-October, 2018, Indonesia’s foreign trade volume was US$307.28 billion, up 15.8% year on year, among which the exports totaled US$150.88 billion, up 8.8% year on year and the imports totaled US$156.40 billion, up 23.4% year on year. The accumulative trade deficit was US$5.51 billion.

In January-September, 2018, the trade volume of non-oil and gas products between China and Indonesia was US$57.31 billion, up 27.6%. Among these, Indonesia’s exports to China, its largest export destination, totaled US$20.69 billion, up 22.2% year on year, accounting for 15.1% of its total exports; Indonesia’s imports from China, its largest source of imports, totaled US$36.62 billion, up 30.9% year on year, accounting for 27.9% of its total imports.
