Statistics on China-Indonesia Trade in January-July, 2018

Indonesia’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the trade report on August 15. In January-July, 2018, Indonesia’s foreign trade volume was US$211.56 billion, an increase of 17.6% year on year, among which the exports totaled US$104.24 billion, up 11.4% year on year and the imports totaled US$107.32 billion, up 24.5% year on year. The accumulative trade deficit was US$3.09 billion.

In January-July, 2018, the trade volume of non-oil and gas products between China and Indonesia was US$39.32 billion, up 33.0%. Among these, Indonesia’s exports to China, its largest export destination, totaled US$14.49 billion, up 34.7% year on year, accounting for 15.4% of its total exports; Indonesia’s imports from China, its largest source of import, totaled US$24.83 billion, up 32.0% year on year, accounting for 27.4% of its total imports.
