From January to May, 2023, China’s businesses sent 137,000 contract workers overseas, an increase of 40,000 over the same period of last year. Among them, 44,000 people were dispatched under contracted projects and 93,000 people were dispatched for labor cooperation. At the end of May, there were 553,000 overseas contract workers.
