According to the statistics by the Ministry of Commerce and State Administration of Foreign Exchange, in the first half of this year, China’s outbound direct investment across all sectors amounted to RMB386.05 billion, down by 0.8% year on year (equivalent to USD54.9 billion, down by 4.4% year on year), of which China’s non-financial direct investment in 4,089 overseas enterprises of 159 countries and regions reached RMB362.14 billion, with an decrease of 0.7% year on year (equivalent to USD51.5 billion and down by 4.3% year on year).
