Chinese enterprises made a non-financial direct investment of US$11.9 billion in 55 countries along the Belt and Road routes in January-October, going up 6.4% year on year, taking up 13.3% of the total over the same period of time. The investment mainly flew to Singapore, Laos, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
Regarding the contracted projects overseas, the number of the newly-signed contracts by the Chinese enterprises in countries along the Belt and Road routes amounted to 3,143 with a total value of US$80.91 billion, taking up 48.1% of China’s total contract value of the newly signed overseas contractual projects over the same period of time, going down 20.7% year on year. The turnover reached US$ 65.33 billion, taking up 53.7% of the total, up 13.6% year on year.
