Foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs), multinational enterprises included, have brought advanced technologies, management and global marketing networks to China. They are not only deeply embedded in China’s domestic circulation, but also serving as important bridges between the domestic and international circulations, playing a unique and crucial role in building the new development paradigm. In the next step, we will continue to improve foreign investment work to pursue higher-quality opening-up, by further expanding market access, enhancing services for FIEs and foreign-invested projects, and protecting the lawful rights and interests of FIEs in accordance with law, so that FIEs can develop in China with ease, comfort and assurance, and lead the improvement of industries. Meanwhile, we will push for the early entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement to join the formulation of high-standard international investment rules, so as to create a sound external environment for FIEs.
