China is stepping up fostering a new development paradigm with domestic circulation as the mainstay and domestic and international circulations reinforcing each other, which will provide broader market and development opportunities for countries around the world. The application to join CPTPP demonstrates China’s will and determination to continue to deepen reforms and expand opening up. As a long-standing supporter of free trade, China has been calling for open, transparent, mutually beneficial and win-win regional free trade arrangements and is actively building a global network of high-standard FTAs. In particular, in the context of COVID-19, China stands ready to work with all to overcome the adverse impact of COVID-19 through actively promoting regional economic integration and trade and investment liberalization and facilitation for greater contribution to global economic recovery and growth. In the next step, China will consult with the members in accordance with the relevant procedures of CPTPP. Thank you.
