In accordance with the Measures for the Administration of the Import Report and Information Release of Staple Agricultural Products (Decree No. 10, 2008 of the Ministry of Commerce, hereinafter referred as the “Measures”), the Ministry of Commerce hereby revises the Catalogue of Staple Agricultural Products Subject to Import Report Administration (hereinafter referred as the “Catalogue”).

I. Pork and by-products, beef and by-products, mutton and by-products shall be included in the Catalogue, and measures for the administration of the import report shall be implemented on the above products as of April 1, 2011. Import operators should fulfill the obligations involving import report when they import such products in accordance with the Measures.

II. The Ministry of Commerce authorized China Chamber of Commerce for Import/Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By –Products to be responsible for the routine work of gathering, summarizing, analyzing and checking import report information of the aforementioned products.

III. Import operators should register at China Chamber of Commerce for Import/Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By –Products and submit the registration form to the provincial commercial department of the registration place. Central enterprises in Beijing should submit the form to the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce.

IV. The Ministry of Commerce will release relevant import information under the special column of “Import Information of Staple Agricultural Products” at its website once every half month, and the release is subject to postponement in case of statutory holidays.
