MOFCOM Announcement No.45 of 2018 on Terminating the Anti-dumping Measures against Imports of Sulfamethoxazole Originating in India

On June 15, 2007, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (the "MOFCOM") issued Announcement No.48 of 2007, deciding to levy anti-dumping duty on imports of sulfamethoxazole originating in India for five years.

On June 14, 2013, the MOFCOM issued Announcement No.38 of 2013, deciding to levy anti-dumping duty on imports of sulfamethoxazole originating in India as of June 16, 2013 for five years.

On September 7, 2017, the MOFCOM issued the Announcement No.49 of 2017, announcing the upcoming expiry of the anti-dumping measures above on June 15, 2018, and that the natural person or legal person of or on behalf of the domestic industry, or organizations concerned, may in writing submit the application for final review to the MOFCOM within 60 days before the expiry date of such anti-dumping measures.

If the MOFCOM did not receive any application for final review within the prescribed time limit from sulfamethoxazole industry of China, it decides not to initiate an investigation for the final review on its own. Therefore, since June 16, 2018, the anti-dumping measures against imports of sulfamethoxazole originating in India will be terminated.
