In accordance with the Anti-dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China, on March 19, 2014, the Ministry of Commerce issued the Announcement 17 of 2014, deciding to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of optical fiber preform originated in Japan and the U.S.

In consideration of the particularity and complexity of this case, in accordance with Article 26 of the Anti-dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce decided to extend the investigation period of this case for another 5 months, namely the expiration date will be August 19, 2015.
