MOFCOM Announcement No. 82 of 2014 on Termination of Anti-dumping Measures against Imports of 1,4-Butylene-glycol Originated in Saudi Arabia and Taiwan Region

On December 24, 2009, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China issued Announcement No. 106 of 2009, deciding to levy anti-dumping taxes against imports of 1,4-butylene-glycol originated in Saudi Arabia and Taiwan Region for a period of 5 years from December 25, 2009 to December 24, 2014.

On July 25, 2014, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 51 of 2014, announcing that the above-mentioned anti-dumping measures will expire on December 25, 2014. As of the date of the announcement, the domestic industryor any natural person, legal person or relevant organization on behalf of the domestic industry may, prior to August 24, 2014, file a written application for expiry review to the Ministry of Commerce.

No application has been made for expiry review within the time limit asspecifiedin the announcement, and the Ministry of Commerce has also decided not to take the initiative to launch the expiry reviewinvestigation. Therefore, the anti-dumping measures applicable to imports of 1,4-butylene-glycol originated in Saudi Arabia and Taiwan Region will be terminated as of December 25, 2014.
