MOFCOM Announcement No.48 of 2014 on Termination of Anti-dumping Measures against Imports of Coated Paper Originated in Japan and South Korea

The Ministry of Commerce issued annual announcement No. 54 on August 4, 2009, deciding to continue with the anti-dumping measures against imports of coated paper originated in Japan and South Korea in accordance with Announcement No. 35 of 2003, Announcement No. 29 of 2007 and Announcement No. 73 of 2008 for a period of five years since August 5, 2009.

The Ministry of Commerce issued annual announcement No. 2 on January 27, 2014, stating that the anti-dumping measures mentioned above will expire on August 4, 2014, and the domestic industry or any natural person, legal person or relevant organization on behalf of the domestic industry may file a written application for expiry review to the Ministry of Commerce 60 days prior to the expiration of the anti-dumping measures since the date of the announcement.

There have been no application for expiry review filed by the domestic industry of coated paper within the specified time limit of the announcement, and the Ministry of Commerce has also decided not to take the initiative to launch the investigation of expiry review. Therefore, the anti-dumping measures applicable for the imports of coated paper originated in Japan and South Korea will be terminated as of August 5, 2014.
