Since the beginning of this year, MOFCOM has actively held the Invest in China Year activities to attract investment, advance high-level opening up, promote exchanges and enhance cooperation. In the eight months since the launch of the Invest in China Year initiative, MOFCOM has held nearly 20 major events, and more than 500 supporting investment promotion activities at or above the provincial level have been organized around the country, with positive results being achieved.
Wang Wentao stressed that MOFCOM will continue to follow the decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, further relax access to foreign investment, promote institutional opening up, improve service levels, and optimize the business environment. MOFCOM will continue to build the brand of Invest in China, and bring FDI utilization to the next level so that China will remain an attractive destination for foreign investment.
More than 300 people from 18 provincial-level people’s governments, local commercial departments, and representatives of multinational companies and foreign business associations attended the meeting.
