Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary

On May 15, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. The two sides had a friendly and frank exchange of views on expanding bilateral trade and deepening bilateral investment cooperation.

Wang Wentao said that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Hungary economic and trade cooperation has been deepened and substantiated, and Hungary has become China's largest investment destination in Central and Eastern Europe. The areas of cooperation between the two sides have been continuously expanded and major cooperation projects have been steadily advanced. China is ready to work with Hungary to continue to tap the potential and further elevate the level of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and inject more impetus into deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Péter Szijjártó said that in recent years, Hungarian-Chinese economic and trade cooperation has achieved many pragmatic results; Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest in Hungary; and Hungary will continue to provide a fair and equitable business environment for Chinese businesses.
