According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (July 1-7), the market prices of the edible agricultural products across the country rose by 0.4% over the previous week and those of the means of production dropped by 0.2% over the previous week.

In the market of the edible agricultural products, the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.24 yuan per kilogram, up 2.7% over the previous week, with the prices of Chinese cabbage, lettuce, and broccoli rising by 15.4%, 10.5% and 8.9% respectively. The average wholesale price of 6 kinds of fruits was 8.87 yuan, down 0.4%, with the prices of watermelon, grape, banana and pear dropping by 8.8%, 1.5%, 0.7% and 0.2% and those of orange and apple rising by 2.2% and 1.3%. The wholesale price of meat fluctuated slightly. Among these, the prices of pork was 23.29 yuan per kilogram, up 0.7% and the prices of beef and mutton were 56.63 yuan and 56.16 yuan per kilogram, down 0.4% and 0.2% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry increased differently. Among these, the prices of eggs and chicken were 8.81 yuan and 16.3 yuan per kilogram, up 0.8% and 0.2%. The wholesale price of aquatic products rose slightly. Among these, the prices of chub, crucian and grass carp increased by 1.4%, 1% and 0.7% respectively. The wholesale price of cereals rose slightly, with the price of flour up 0.3% and that of rice staying the same as in the previous week. The wholesale price of edible oil dropped slightly, with the prices of peanut oil, soybean oil and rapeseed oil down 0.6%, 0.3% and 0.1%.

In the market of production means, the price of basic chemical raw materials decreased in general, with the prices of sodium carbonate, sulphuric acid and methyl alcohol down 3.1%, 1.7% and 0.8% respectively and that of polypropylene up 0.3% over the previous week. The price of rubber continued to drop, with the prices of natural rubber and synthetic rubber both down 1.4%. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased slightly, with the prices of zinc, copper and aluminum down 1.2%, 1% and 0.9% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer dropped slightly, with the prices of urea and NPK down 0.2% and 0.1% respectively. The price of coal dropped slightly while still being stable on the whole, among which the prices of blind coal and coking coal were 906 yuan and 775 yuan per ton, down 0.3% and 0.1% respectively and that of steam coal was 588 yuan per ton, staying unchanged. The price of steel rose slightly, in which the prices of high-speed wire rod, screw-thread steel, welded steel pipe and channel steel were 4219 yuan, 4126 yuan, 4241 yuan and 4170 yuan per ton respectively, up 0.6%, 0.5%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively.
