According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (December 3- 9), the national market prices of the edible agricultural products increased by 0.6% over the previous week and those of the means of production drop by 0.6%.

In the market of the edible agricultural products: the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 3.93 yuan per kilogram, up 1.3% over the previous week, with the prices of cucumber, bitter gourd and oilseed rape increasing the most by 11.9%, 5.7% and 5.5% respectively. The wholesale prices of meat increased in different ranges. Among these, the prices of pork, beef and mutton were 21.02 yuan, 55.96 yuan and 55.73yuan per kilogram respectively, up 0.8%, 0.5% and 0.4% over last week respectively. The wholesale prices of aquatic products picked up slightly. Among these, the prices of large hairtail, carp and grass carp increased the most by 1.4%, 0.5% and 0.4% respectively over the previous week. The wholesale price of edible oil fluctuated slightly. Among these, the price of peanut oil and the price of soybean oil increased by 0.6% and 0.3% respectively over the previous week and the price of rapeseed oil increased decreased by 0.1%. The wholesale price of poultry fluctuated in general. Among these, the price of chicken was 16.34 yuan per kilogram, up 0.6% over the previous week and the price of eggs was 9.47 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%. The wholesale prices of cereals were steady in general, with the prices of rice and flour remaining the same as those of the previous week.

In the market of production means: the price of basic chemical raw materials dropped by 0.6% over last week, with the prices of methyl alcohol and sulphuric acid down 2.9% and 1.3% respectively and that of polypropylene and sodium carbonate up 2.8% and 0.3% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer dropped by 0.5%, with that of urea down 0.5% and that of NPK remained steady. The price of coal remained steady, among which the price of blind coal was 890 yuan per ton, up 0.1%, the price of coking coal was 772 yuan per ton, down 0.1% and that of steam coal was 609 yuan per ton, staying unchanged. The price of non-ferrous metal increased by 0.1%, with the price of zinc up 2.8%, and those of aluminum and copper down 0.4% and 0.3% respectively. The price of rubber increased by 0.4%, with the prices of synthetic rubber and d natural rubber up 0.6% and 0.2% respectively. The price of steel increased by 0.5%, among which the prices of screw-thread steel, high-speed wire rod and common middle plate were 4135 yuan, 4203 yuan and 4227 yuan per ton respectively, up 0.8%, 0.6% and 0.4% respectively.
