According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (July 9-15), the national market price index of the edible agricultural products increased by 0.8%, ending the downward trend for 5 consecutive weeks. The price index of the means of production increased by 0.2%.

In the market of edible agricultural products: the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 3.72 yuan per kilogram, up 2.5% over the previous week, and the prices of spinach, cauliflower and cucumber increased the most by 11.6%, 8.7% and 8.2% respectively. The wholesale price of meat continued to increase, and the prices of pork, beef and mutton were 18.59 yuan, 52.57 yuan and 49.12 yuan per kilogram respectively, up 3%, 0.3% and 0.3% respectively. The average wholesale price of aquatic products increased slightly, and the prices of little yellow croaker, crucian and large yellow croaker increased the most by 1.9%, 1.1% and 0.7% respectively. The wholesale prices of grain and food picked up slightly, with that of rice up 0.4% and that of flour staying unchanged over the previous week. The overall wholesale price of poultry fluctuated slightly. Among these, the prices of chicken and duck were 15.71 yuan and 17.24 yuan per kilogram respectively, both up 0.3% over the previous week, and that of eggs was 8.4 yuan per kilogram, down 0.2%. The wholesale price of edible oil remained steady in general, with the price of rapeseed oil up 0.1%, that of soybean oil down 0.1% and that of peanut oil staying the same as in the previous week.

In the market of production means, the price of steel increased by 0.5% over the previous week, and the prices of screw-thread steel, high-speed wire rod, common round steel and hot-rolled strip steel were 4108 yuan, 4207 yuan, 4227 yuan and 4204 yuan per ton respectively, up 0.9%, 0.8%, 0.5% and 0.5% respectively. The price of rubber increased by 0.2%, with that of synthetic rubber up 0.8%, and that of natural rubber down 0.2%. The price of coal decreased by 0.1%, among which the prices of steam coal and blind coal were 599 yuan and 862 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.2% and 0.1% respectively and that of coking coal was 759 yuan per ton, up 0.1%. The price of chemical fertilizer decreased by 0.2%, with those of urea and NPK down 0.3% and 0.1% respectively, and those of KCL and DAP staying stable. The price of basic chemical raw materials decreased by 0.3%, with the prices of sodium carbonate and sulphuric acid down 2.4% and 0.5% respectively and those of caustic soda and methyl alcohol up 0.9% and 0.6% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased by 1.5% over the previous week, with the prices of zinc, lead and copper down 3.6%, 3.3% and 2.1% respectively and those of nickel, tin and aluminum up 0.6%, 0.4% and 0.3% respectively.
