According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (June 25-July 1), the national market price index of the edible agricultural products decreased by 0.8%, and the price index of the means of production decreased by 0.3%.

In the market of edible agricultural products, the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 3.62 yuan per kilogram, down 2.7% over the previous week, with the prices of Chinese cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower decreasing the most by 9.4%, 9.4% and 9.2% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry fluctuated slightly. Among these, the prices of eggs, chicken and duck were 8.52 yuan, 15.7 yuan and 17.21 yuan per kilogram respectively, down 1.1%, 0.8% and 0.8% respectively over the previous week. The wholesale price of edible oil decreased in general, with the prices of soybean oil and rapeseed oil down 0.8% and 0.4% respectively and that of peanut oil up 0.1% week on week. The wholesale prices of cereals continued to fall, with those of flour and rice down 0.5% and 0.2% respectively. The average wholesale price of aquatic products increased slightly with the prices of large hailtail, grass carp and large croaker up 1.7%, 1.3% and 0.8% respectively compared with that over the same period of last year. The wholesale price of meat increased in general, and the prices of pork and beef were 17.92 yuan and 52.23 yuan per kilogram, up 0.6% and 0.3% respectively and that of mutton was 48.92 yuan per kilogram, down 0.3% week on week.

In the market of production means, the price of basic chemical raw materials decreased by 1.7%, with the prices of sulphuric acid, caustic soda, methyl alcohol and sodium carbonate down 2.1%, 1.9%, 1.6% and 0.3% respectively. The price of steel decreased by 0.5%. Among these, the prices of deformed steel, common round steel, high-speed wire, and U-bar steel were 4080 yuan, 4211 yuan, 4177 yuan and 4207 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.7%, 0.5%, 0.5% and 0.5% respectively. The price of rubber decreased by 0.3%, with those of synthetic rubber and natural rubber down 0.6% and 0.1% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased by 0.2%, with the prices of tin, aluminum, copper and zinc down 1.2%, 0.8%, 0.5% and 0.2% respectively while that of lead and nickel up 3.9% and 0.3% respectively week on week. The price of chemical fertilizer increased by 0.1%, with those of urea, KCL and DAP all going up 0.1% and that of NPK staying the same. The price of coal increased by 0.2%, among which the prices of coking coal and blind coal were 757 yuan and 862 yuan per ton, up 0.7% and 0.4% respectively, and that of steam coal was 600 yuan per ton, remaining unchanged.
