MOFCOM Announces the Preliminary Ruling on the Anti-dumping Investigation against Imports of Broiler Products Imported from Brazil

On June 8, 2018, MOFCOM released Announcement No. 46 of 2018, announcing the preliminary ruling on the anti-dumping investigation against the imports of Broiler Products from Brazil.

MOFCOM preliminarily ruled that there was dumping of Broiler Products originating in Brazil, the domestic Broiler industry was substantially damaged, and there was a causal relationship between the dumping and the substantive damage. MOFCOM decided to launch provisional anti-dumping measures in the form of cash deposits. According to the ruling, the import operators shall pay relevant cash deposits to the Customs of the People’s Republic of China according to the dumping margins (18.8%-38.4%) defined by this ruling for each company when importing Broiler Products originating in Brazil since June 9, 2018.

The product is listed under tariff number 02071100, 02071200, 02071311, 02071319, 02071321, 02071329, 02071411, 02071419, 02071421, 02071422, 02071429, 05040021 in the Customs Import and Export Tariff of the People’s Republic of China.
