The Chinese Ministry of Commerce issued NO.57 announcement of 2014 on August 21 with a final determination to impose anti-dumping duties on TBHQ originating in India since August 22, with a five-year implementation period.

According to the announcement, the Ministry of Commerce decreed that in the period of investigation, India dumped TBHQ on China, which has resulted in substantive damage and threat to Chinese industries, and the cause-and-effect relationship can be seen between the dumping and substantive damage and threat. In accordance with Anti-Dumping Regulations of the People’s Republic of China, the customs tariff committee of the State Council decided to impose anti-dumping duties on the above-mentioned product since August 22, 2014 after hearing the suggestions of MOFCOM. Importers should pay anti-dumping duties to China Customs according to the tax rates of companies listed in the announcement when importing the above-mentioned product. The product should be listed in Import and Export Tariffs of the PRC: 29072990. Other products except for TBHQ under this tariff number are not in the scope of this investigation.

Responding to applications of domestic industries, the Ministry of Commerce conducted anti-dumping investigation into THBQ originating in India on August 22, 2013 and preliminarily decided to take temporary anti-dumping measures on the product on April 29, 2014.
