Small commodities dominated the phase 2 of Canton Fair. Under a gloomy economic situation, innovations have become the magic tools for domestic exhibitors. Panyu Pearl Clock Factory exhibited its luminous clock with a sensor at the fair. The internationally patented clock, known as the "smart" clock, is able to response to the changes of the light. It turns luminous as the light is insufficient or the evening comes, telling people the precise time. According to a staff member of the factory, three batteries are able to support one such clock to work for one and half years. The clock has caught many domestic and foreign visitors' attentions. In addition, Guangzhou Panda International Group Ltd exhibited its solar energy powered street lamps. A solar panel is installed at the top of the street lamp. During the daytime, the panel can store the solar energy and transform it into power, which will be used in the evening. Under normal conditions, the power stored during the daytime can support the street lamp to work for eight hours in the evening. In line with the concept of "green lightening and sustainable development", the company has provided a new choice for the large-scale development of solar energy in the modern communities. Guangzhou Fuda Clock Group signed a strategic agreement with Hunan Greatdreams Cartoon Media Limited Company in 2008. Greatdreams exclusively authorizes Fuda to manufacture and sell "Howia & Landou" clocks and decorations. "Our products have caught the attentions from all directions as the Chinese cartoon products expand their overseas markets. If foreign children like our "Howia & Landou" clocks, we will have plentiful brand resources", said an unnamed vice general manager of Fuda. |
