An Overseas VIP Club was launched during the ongoing 105th China Import and Export Fair. The move was aimed at improving service and optimizing the investment climate. The club has divided its members into general and senior groups. Club members can enjoy a "green" or fast-track corridor to handle certification papers, along with free coffee and cookies, Chinese and Western-style lunch and a leisure zone. They can also join free business match-making events, visit to exhibitions halls accompanied by the organizing committee, meet or dine with senior executives of the Foreign Liaison Office of the Organizing Committee of the Canton Fair, and participate in special seminars and procurement meetings. The club shows the organizing committee's support amid the financial crisis and its efforts to differentiate its service. The club is a gathering place of many high-profile clients attending the trade gala who enjoy favorable, cost-effective and high- quality services in registration, beverage and food, consultation, business service and leisure. The club has received widespread and war m responses from fair visitors, exhibitors and media outlets since its opening. To date, over 1,600 clients have joined the club and the daily visits to its VIP leisure area hit some 600. The organizers are delighted to see all the members leave the area with a smile and gratitude for club's "five-star" service, some remarking that the service was "surprisingly enjoyable". Apart from returning visitors to the Canton Fair, business organizations have become members of the club, including the Hong Kong International Trade A ssociation, Zambia - China Business Association, Tunisia Chamber of Commerce and Palestine Industrial and Commercial Federation. The club has shown the committee's campaign to fulfill its promise to enhance its service after the opening of its new Pazhou Exhibition Hall, which indicates Canton Fair has become an internationally top trade event. |
