The organizing committee of the 105th Canton Fair has heightened healthcare safety precautions in a bid to prevent the potential spread of the H1N1 influenza. To date, no cases have been found on the Chinese mainland. The number of patients who visited the temporary clinic office of the Canton Fair has remained the same as the last session. The organizing committee has made a series of measures to provide clean and safe environment to visitors and exhibitors from home and abroad. These include: All the visitors and exhibitors should take body temperature test. All exhibitors and visitors from infected areas including Mexico and the United States should register with the organizing committee. The organizing committee will cooperate with the Guangzhou Health Bureau to make record and follow the development of the health status of purchasers from the virus-stricken areas. It will make reports of the health status of all the participants of the fair. It will keep air quality surveillance, enhance fresh air ventilation, and routinely clean and sanitize the central air system, floors and water pipes inside and outside the exhibition halls. It will make correct diagnoses for patients who have syndromes like cough and fever, make record and follow development. It will invite health experts to enter the exhibition areas to deal with emergently happened cases and provide guidelines for healthy protection work during the fair. |
