 国务院总理、国务院西部地区开发领导小组组长温家宝20日主持召开领导小组会议，讨论并原则通过《关于应对国际金融危机保持西部地区经济平稳较快发展的意见》。 国务院副总理、国务院西部地区开发领导小组副组长李克强出席会议。 会议认为，实施西部大开发战略十年来，西部地区经济发展、社会进步、民族团结、边疆稳定，各项事业都取得了显著成就，为全国经济发展开辟了新的广阔空间，也有力地促进了区域经济协调发展，为应对国际金融危机奠定了坚实的物质和技术基础。实践证明，党中央、国务院的决策是完全正确的，西部大开发的政策措施和重点任务是符合实际的。要坚定不移地深入推进西部大开发，支持西部地区抓住机遇，加快转变发展方式，积极调整经济结构，着力提高发展质量，不断创新体制机制，化解国际金融危机影响，继续保持经济平稳较快发展，提高各族人民的物质文化生活水平。 |
