1 Background of the Forum

 

Since the 1980s, thanks to the economic globalization, the rising service trade has become the dominant form of world business. As a result, offshore outsourcing service has become more an more popular, and the service trade as a whole is drawing more and more attention from the globe, even boosting the world's economy into a new booming round.

 

The Chinese government put forward the goal that “the total export and import values will reach 400 billion dollars” in the Compendium of 11th Five—Year plan for national Economic and Social Development.

 

A service trade promoting system that suits the market economy will be set up in the wake of this Forum, so as to promote the development of Chinese service trade and enhance international service trade collaboration.

 

2 Pattern of the Forum

 

The Title of the Forum:

International Forum on China Service Trade Development 

 

The theme of the Forum:

is the outsourcing of the software industry in the context of globalization

 

The mission of the Forum:

is to set up a platform for dialog between government institutions, international economy-trade organizations, transnational enterprises and and research centers in the face of the historical opportunity of the global development for the global service trade. The forum will fully analyze and evaluate the occasion that the service trade of the world and China are facing, impel the establishment of promoting policy for the service trade, and encourage the communications and collaborations between software industries in the Chinese mainland and other parts of the world .
