| The Governor of Inhambane Mozambique heads a delegation to attend CIFIT |

The Governor of Inhambane Mozambique Itard Marc headed a delegation with 18 persons left Maputo to attend the opening ceremony of CIFIT on Sept. 8th on request by China Commerce Department. Inhambane has ever sent officers and entrepreneurs to attend CIFIT. And this time the Governor heads the delegation himself responds to introduce Inhambane Mozambique and the project of Cooperation in Trade and Investment. The attendant eight entrepreneurs are from agricultural, agricultural products processing, woodworking, and travel industry. The entrepreneurs hope to establish economic cooperation and trade relationship with more Chinese enterprises through the CIFIT. Inhambane is a South province in Mozambique, and about 500 kilometers south of capital Maputo, covers an area of 68 thousands square Kilometers and has a population of 1.44 million. Inhambane is abundance of natural gas, forest resource and kinds of agricultural and economical crop. The areal coverage of forest is about 53 millions hectares, and among 20 millions hectares are commercial resources yearly production 5000 cubic metres. In natural gas development, south africn companies have invested $1.2 billion in two gas-fields, and the gas was delivered to South African by pipeline. Agricultural and economical crop include paddy rice, vegetables, cashew, coconut, fruits and so on. The province has a few internal and foreign private investments, and the shortage of public recourse couldn’t satisfy the demand of economical and social development. Now the province is expanding the natural resources and economical resources, and it worked. But it also has lots of potential. |
