Sun Xiyou, Director of Xiamen Foreign Investment Bureau said Xiamen delegation to this year's CIFIT will put more stress on the city image building projects in selecting participating companies. At present, Xiamen delegation has decided on 56 items for investment invitation, oriented on regional finance, exhibition, logistics and R&D. The projects cover various sectors including finance, IT, electronics, hotel management, tourism, logistics, machinery, industrial infrastructure, and professional parks. So far, Xiamen delegation has confirmed 35 projects to be contracted, totalling nearly 1.1 billion USD and utilizing 427 million USD. At the same time, Xiamen delegation expanded the invitation to businesses of more sectors. So far 58 business groups have confirmed the participation, more than the previous one. Many big shots like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HLB International will come for CIFIT. Sun sadi, "We got to know many business people through CIFIT. We have been keeping in touch with many of them. Many of the projects were put into effect in Xiamen with their investment. With the promotion of CIFIT, nearly 100 % contracted projects were implemented." According to the statistics, during the previous 10 CIFIT's Xiamen delegation has signed 579 projects, utilizing foreign investment of 12 billion USD. |
