Japan Trade Statistics in September of 2010
  

According to the statistics by Japan Customs, from January to September of 2010, the commodity import & export amounted to US$1065.01 billion with a year-on-year increase of 32.9%. Its export was US$560.83 billion and its import was US$504.18 billion, up by 38.2% and 27.3% year on year respectively. The trade surplus was US$56.65 billion, up by 484%.

In September, commodity import & export reached US$129.1 billion, up by 21.5%, of which US$69.24 billion was the export and US$59.86 billion was the import, up by 23.7% and 19% respectively. The trade surplus was US$9.38 billion, up by 65.4%.

From January to September, Japan-China bilateral trade amounted to US$217.01 billion, up by 32.1%, of which, Japan’s export to China was US$106.78 billion up by 39.8%, accounting for 19.0% of its total export, 0.2 percentage point up; Japan’s import from China was US$110.23 billion, up by 25.3%, accounting for 21.9% of its total import, down by 0.3 percentage point. Japan-China trade deficit was US$3.45 billion, down by 70.2%.

By September, China was Japan’s largest trading partner, largest export destination and largest import source.
