According to statistics from Customs, Total value of China's import and export in 2004 was US$ 1154.74 billion, up by 35.7% on an annual basis. Export was 593.36 US$ billion, up by 35.4%; Import was US$ 561.38 billion, up by 36.0%. China achieved a trade surplus of US$ 31.98 billion, up by 25.6%.
