Brief Statistics of Foreign Contracting Projects and Labor Cooperation in First 11 Months of 2009
1. Foreign Contracting Projects
The turnover of our foreign contracting projects reached US$64.77 billion, up by 37.5 percent year on year in the first 11 months of 2009. In November, the turnover was US$7.54 billion, up by 79.5 percent year on year. The value of newly signed contracts in 2009 amounted to US$106.51 billion, up by 20.9 percent year on year, and the value of newly signed contracts in November decreased by 2 percent year on year to US$6.36 billion.

Up to the end of November of 2009, the accumulated turnover of our contracting foreign projects amounted to US$320.1billion and the value of signed contracts reached US$534.2billion.

2. Foreign Labor Cooperation
The turnover of our foreign labor cooperation reached US$7.86 billion, up by 8.6percent year on year in the first 11 months of 2009. In November, the turnover in November was US$850 million, up by 25 percent year on year. The value of newly signed contracts was US$6.57billion, down by 2.5 percent year on year. And the value of newly signed contracts in November was US$1.01billion, up by 98 percent year on year. The number of labor to foreign countries reached 353,000, down by 5.1 percent year on year. In November, it was 35,300, up by 41.2 percent year on year. By the end of November, the total number of labor in foreign countries was 784,000, decreasing 10,000 against the same period of 2008.

By the end of November, 2009, the accumulated turnover of foreign labor cooperation was US$63.7 billion, the total value of contracts was US$66.4 billion and the accumulated number of labor to foreign countries reached 4,970,000.
