In Jan. 2006, turnover of China's labor service overseas amounted to US$304 million, up by 8.6% on a year-on-year basis. And value of newly signed contracts reached US$507 million with a year-on-year increase of 53.6%. Overseas labor amounted to 29.7 thousand, 17.4 thousand more than that in the same period of the previous year and 583 thousand in total by the end of Jan., 73 thousand more than that in the same period of the previous year. By the end of Jan. 2006, turnover of China's labor service overseas was US$35.91 billion, with contractual value of US$40.87 billion, overseas labor amounted to 3.496 million.
